Getting around the area
State Highway 121 and State Highway 26, which is Colleyville Boulevard, run through and along Colleyville, and the Cotton Belt Trail connects Colleyville with Grapevine, North Richland Hills and Hurst. Crews work from these corridors to reach neighboring towns. We do not promise an arrival time, because traffic and call volume change by the hour, and the dispatcher will tell you what to expect when you call.
Which city is your property in
Mailing addresses and city limits do not always match. A Keller mailing address can sit inside Fort Worth, and a Grapevine address can fall in a different county. That matters because the city you actually live in sets your water utility, your building permit office and your after-hours public works number.
If you are not sure, look at your water bill or your property tax statement. Both name the jurisdiction. Tell the dispatcher what you find, and each town page lists where to confirm permit rules before a rebuild.
What to have ready when you call
- The property address and the nearest cross street.
- Where the water came from and whether it is still running.
- Which rooms are wet and roughly how large the area is.
- Whether the water looks clean or dark, and whether it smells.
- Your insurer and policy number, if you have them.
Partial answers are fine. A dispatcher can start with what you know, and the crew confirms the rest on site.
Weather that sends calls across the area
The National Weather Service reports a normal of about 37 inches of rain a year at Dallas Fort Worth, and hail, wind and flooding hit North Texas nearly every year, with the peak in spring. A single storm can put roofs, gutters and drainage under stress in several of these towns on the same evening.
Winter freezes matter too. In February 2021 the region sat at or below freezing for 139 hours, and pipes burst in homes that had never had a problem. Those events fill the phone lines, so the sooner you call after you find water, the sooner you are in line.
What happens if we cannot reach you
During a major storm, demand can outrun the crews available. When that happens the dispatcher tells you honestly and gives you steps to limit the damage while you wait, such as shutting off the water, moving belongings and starting basic airflow. We do not promise an arrival time, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Before the crew arrives
- Shut off the water at the main valve if a pipe is the source.
- Turn off power to wet areas at the breaker if you can reach it without standing in water.
- Move rugs, electronics and small furniture to dry ground.
- Take photos and video of the damage before anything is moved.
- Open interior doors and run a fan if the air is dry, but not if the water is dark or smells.
These steps hold for every town in the table above. Town pages add the local details, such as the public works number to call if the problem is on the street side of your meter.
Why we list ZIP codes
ZIP codes help you confirm that we cover your street, but they are a mailing tool and not a legal boundary. Always go by the city that taxes your property when you ask about permits or utilities. If your ZIP is not in the table and you are close to our towns, call and ask.
What each service page covers
If you already know what you need, go straight to the right page. Use emergency water removal for standing water, flood damage restoration for storm or sewage water, water mitigation for drying, water damage cleanup for removal and sanitizing, water damage repair for the rebuild or mold remediation for mold. The services page compares them.
If your town is not listed, call anyway. We will tell you honestly whether we can help or point you to someone who can.
